STAR NETBALLER KARLA PRETORIUS #MakesTheSwap
Mizuno are very excited to announce the signing of South African and Sunshine Coast Lightning player Karla Pretorius. Pretorius joined the inaugural Sunshine Coast Lightning team in 2017 after coming across from Team Bath in the UK, making her the first South African netballer to play for an Australian club in the Suncorp Super Netball. Since arriving at Lightning Pretorius has elevated herself as one of the best players in the world and arguably the best defender. She capped off 2018 being named club MVP and backed it up winning the award again in 2019 along with being named in the SSN team of the year.
Also a star at international level and leader on court being named vice captain for South Africa, Pretorius has had a stellar career for the Proteas since debuting in 2011. More recently, Pretorius was named 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup Player of the Tournament. Some of the many accolades Karla has achieved in career so far include:

Off-court Karla has recently obtained her Masters in Dietetics and currently reading towards a Diploma in Sports Management. On court in 2020 shell be wearing the Mizuno Wave Luminous, one of the new shoes to the Mizuno netball range. Mizuno look forward to supporting her for the 2020 season.
